Show us not the foliage but the roots,
Not the hurricane but its eye.

Where the unspoken is known
And the unknown is spoken,
Don’t be afraid to tell us
what everyone already knows.

Query Process:

Forget all the standard advice!
Start with:
“Hey David, I’ve been thinking about something
that I’m almost afraid to put it into words –
but as I sit down to write you, I’m surprised
 that what’s really on my mind is …”

Finish the sentence and
write as fast as you can, 
don’t stop,
don’t correct,
(forget grammar, spelling, good/bad etc.)
write faster than you can think
don’t be afraid.
Keep going until you’re done.

Then rip off the first page or two to send me as a Word doc –
At the bottom, add a sentence or two about who you are.

and best hours to reach you.
Email it (Word doc only!) to
as is.
